calendar quilt, three quarters of the year on

I started this on my birthday in July. Andy likens it to a prisoner checking off days on the wall of a cell.
There is a square for each day. I don't work on it every day, rather get caught up on weekends.

I'm happy to see your post, Lynn. I have begun to contemplate a quilt to lead up to my milestone birthday (in 2022). I've seen "temperature" or calendar quilts with flying geese but I realized that any repeated block would work....and I like the quiet regularity of your framed squares.

Oh my goodness no, not checking off days on the wall of a cell, but instead celebrating each day of life in a year between birthdays. :)

This looks like so much fun. I like Connie's comment about celebrating each day. You sew each new one to the others as you go?

After your inspiration, I have started a calendar quilt of my own. My birthday was April first, and I have been going since then. Absolutely loving it! Perhaps going a little overboard on the fabric front. I just ordered Stonehenge fabric for the summer and winter solstice.
