tunnel

Tunnel
Block finishes 7 by 9 inches.
There are lots of variations on this out there.
Mine is pretty simple. I plan to off-set these. Or not.

Cut
Solid: one rectangle 1 1/2 by 5 inches; two rectangles 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches
Print: one rectangle 4 1/2 by 9 1/2 inches, three rectangles 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches

Pressing: all seams away from center rectangle. Wait to press last seam until setting the blocks.
off-set
straight set

This is such a fun unusual block. To me they look like colorful handbags, set all together!

I have been keenly interested in learning more on Quilting and the various types of Blocks. This tunnel one is so amazing and abstract. Thank you Lynn for sharing with us this step by step instructional guide as to how one could learn to make the Tunnel block and what are the necessary accessories that will be needed for the same.
