The Gwen Marston style medallion sew-a-long continues!

started the medallion sew-a-long with the theme basket for the center.

chose the first border theme--childhood.
Hence, pinwheels!
I have a few more to make to finish the round.
Cathy at:

chose log cabins for the next round. Hmm.
I am using clearer colors than I usually work with and am loving the light look it gives.

I like your basket and design very much. The clear colors sing.
The pinwheels are sweet as can be!
I adore your pinwheels. Can't wait to see your next round. Hugs
Very nice! The pinwheels look great with your center.
I debated about using pinwheels too but only briefly as they really didn't work with my overall theme. Yours are perfect for your basket. You have a darling quilt in progress.
Very sweet. What child doesn't play with pinwheels! Love it.
I love it...it's actually my favorite medallion...

Lovely! it made me smile, so pretty & goes perfectly with your basket.
Loved blowing those pinwheels as a child, mind you I think everyone does at any age.
I love your medallion! Such a pretty basket and wonderful pinwheels!
This is very pretty and the clear colours work so well: they give it a kind of simple, happy feel.
Sweet!
Your pinwheels are so cute and charming! They're a favorite childhood toy, and they go so well with your sweet basket. I love your colors too, they're so happy!
I think pinwheels are a perfect choice for the theme of childhood. I like your choice of colors, too.

My goodness, you've been so busy! So many pretty designs on your blog in the last few weeks.
Everyone loves pinwheels. I had a few of them in my childhood years. Good choice for your first round surrounding the medallion center.
Perfect border for your simple, sweet center.
Oh, I did not see this post until just now. The pinwheel blocks are gorgeous. What a great idea.
