When pressing binding, I thread it up through the grate at the end of my ironing board. This helps keep it untangled as I pull it up to press.
On the other end, the pressed binding puddles on the floor.

My ironing board does not have this kind of grate at the end, but now I'm trying to figure out what I can "install" from within my household to have the same purpose!
neat idea
p.s. but I wouldn't want it to be a permanent attachment b/c that's end where I do all of my clothes ironing and I wouldn't want it to get in the way
Quilting in Chicago. Klein meisje is Dutch for little girl--what my beloved grandfather called his 12 granddaughters because, I fear, it was easier than trying to remember our names.

You can also run it thru a large safety pin in your ironing board.
