The corn is ready for harvest. This is the first crop managed by my mom and we sisters.
This week marked one year since my father's death. We are grateful for his guidance over the years, preparing us for all we had to do this past year.
I'm really glad for you and the sibs and mom, that you are keeping the farm going in your family name. I remember your dad's mishap sadly from last year.
Quilting in Chicago. Klein meisje is Dutch for little girl--what my beloved grandfather called his 12 granddaughters because, I fear, it was easier than trying to remember our names.

We've been thinking about you. And congrats on your first crop!

That ear of corn is a beautiful specimen! I grew up in Iowa (many years ago) and I know a good ear of corn when I see one. congratulations!!
