Seth loved the H quilt I made for my mother, and I recalled Wanda Hansen, in showing how she came up with her H pattern based it on Kaffe's S pattern--so, I went back to the beginning.
I love the secondary design of the backgrounds.
Blocks finish 7 1/2 inches.
Background: two rectangles 6 1/2 inches by 2 inches
Print: three rectangles 8 inches by 2 inches, two squares 2 by 2 inches
Need to make a pile more blocks.

this reminds me of one Shannon at Pieceful Kwilter made for her birthday, with the help of other bloggers. looks great.
I'm not being biased about liking the S block even tho I could make one too...
I like how the blocks look as they are rotated when piecing rows together. Will need to add this to my bucket list...
How funny - I made an "H" doll quilt some time back because my maiden name begins with that letter. My married name begins with S, and I just made sample blocks in two sizes. Thought that it would make a cozy porch quilt. Great minds?!
I've always admired that pattern too. Glad to see a plaid in pic #2. Almost panicked ;)
oh very fun!
