Now, I grew up on a farm in Iowa, and there is no more beautiful place on earth than that place in Sioux County, but there is a magical beautiful to life in the city too, especially in winter. Here is my house and my gargoyles with tinsel collars.

And here is one of my favorite sites in Chicago in winter--the neighborhood children turn their front steps into sled runs. I had never imagined such a thing before I moved to Chicago.

What fun -- I never thought of sledding on the steps either -- well, not intentionally!
Wow snow!!!! I love snow. Cozy to be at home. nice to play with the children. Last years we didn't have a lot.
What a fun idea! I have never seen that either - but then I live way out in the suburbs of chicago and not in the city either! How fun is that!
You have gargoyles - that is soooo cool. Snow too tho - brrrrr.
We never get enough snow for that kind of fun - ice mostly. Looks like a kid's dream.
Your house looks just like the one we had in Waukegan while stationed at Great Lakes. Sure do remember the snow in the winter.
