quilt installation, Solids + Prints

I installed 30 of my quilts to help deaden sound in the performance space for the Windy City Winds 10th anniversary concert held earlier this month.
Quilts are from my Solids + Prints series.
Directions for most are here on the blog. I loved seeing them together! And the concert was a delight.

What a joy to see them all hanging together! I hope the audience appreciated them too. Maybe it helped some to understand hanging a quilt in your home also helps with sound control.

They are so pretty all together like that. You know, I hadn't realize how many you had made and that's not counted the red and white one and all those you gave away already. Where people asking about the quilts? Like who made them? If they were so sale? etc. I enjoyed this post. Thanks for sharing. ;^)

Whose wonderful idea was it to use your quilts in this way? I'm sure the sound in the room was greatly improved.

Quilts look so different when they are hung and viewed from a distance. What a great quilt show!
