Rresistance and Resilience, a Protest Quilt
measures about 38 by 31 inches before quilting
top completed 2026
We have been dealing with ICE and CBP raids here in Chicago since last year.
I have confronted masked geared-up men here on my block and our old neighborhood has been teargassed.
We have watched with deep concern of their escalating violence in Minneapolis. This quilt was a place to park some of my anger for a bit.

All this must be so upsetting to everyone, living in fear from your own countrymen. We see it on the news here in New Zealand and it is hard to see and understand, but to actually live though this violence and fear must be so much worse.
Love your quilt. I knit a Melt the ICE hat. I am as concerned as you and have been pestering my reps, who are all thank goodness, like minded, and going to every local protest. This is not America.
You go, Girl!!!! 🤩👍🏻🤩 Nancy O.
I'm so sorry you had to do this for your own sanity. Thank you for sharing an inspirational design.

I have been horrified by the behavior of ICE, the administration and it's minions. I knew it wasn't going to be good when the orange turd got elected, but I never thought they would be so brazen as to kill U.S. citizens as well as treat people like they have no rights going thru the system to become citizens. Undocumented people need to be treated with respect as well too! I can't believe how stupid people were to vote for a lying criminal. We all must do what we can to keep our sanity, and your quilt is a perfect example! Love, not hate! Don't boo, vote! I have my drum already loaded in the car for the next protest.
Love this! I think I need to make one too!
A great sentiment. And I like your lettering.
