bindings ready for winter handwork

It has been a busy semester. I manage to fit in a little piecing, quilting, and machine binding work. The larger quilts were made years ago and are finally quilted. Always good to have quilts come back from the longarmer!

The little Vote quilt was made in the lead up to this year's election, I quilted it  with the Bernina squiggle stitch.

My handwork pile is replenished for winter.

  1. You've got four really nice finishes - what a great feeling and winter is great for handwork, especially when it means cozying up to a finished quilt. Love your vintage Bernina! If it's an 830 Record that's what I inherited from my grandma.

  2. Congratulations on all your finishes. Enjoy all the stitching of binding. The yellow quilt is very cute with the wiggle stitching.

  4. Plenty to keep you happily occupied for a while. I have a cat quilt in that pattern, grey cats on pink background, and it is our winter bed quilt, with lovely cozy wool batting inside.

  5. I think your 30s kitties are one of the most fun fabric combinations for that block that I've seen - well done!!!

  6. Certainly no shortage at your house during the Winter months. I made one of the kitty quilts a few years ago and really enjoyed the process and the finished result, Love your version.
