solids on prints: stars: friendship star, evening star
Star, 2018
Star, detail, block finishes 9 inches
Evening Star, 2019
Evening Star, detail, block finishes 12 inches
I kept the centers of these stars open to have a lighter feel to the blocks. We don't see many stars in the city, something I miss from growing up on the farm.
Your quilts are lovely. It's true, it is hard to see the stars when there are so many lights . . . you need to go out to a farmers field and spread a blanket one night this summer and star gaze.

ReplyDeleteLove the Evening Star quilt esp. Wonderful looking!:)
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful quilts - we can see the stars but not as clearly as those who live further out of the city.
