I only know you as a quilting friend from Chicago, but I read your blog because I too am from a Dutch heritage and was drawn by your blog name. I also know that you're are a believer so I know that your "only comfort in life and in death is from your faithful Savior Jesus Christ." You and your family are in my prayers as you place your loved one in heaven's outstretched arms.
My thoughts and prayers are with you this week, Lynn. I feel like I know you through your blog. I'm also a full-time working mother of young adults (4), with some Dutch heritage, and the frugality and thriftiness that comes with that! Your thrift-store-shirt quilts are what initially caught my eye. So one Saturday not long ago when I needed to "just sit" because of my fibromyalgia, I read every one of your blog entries back to the very beginning. I feel like you are a kindred spirit.
