That may be the most beautiful courthouse steps I have ever seen. I love log cabins without borders. You are so fast. Since seeing your fisrt blocks I have been beefing up my 1 1/2 plaid strips as I cut out "Rectangle Wrangle" from Bonnie's book.
64X80 is a great size! I made a courthouse steps, but matched all the fabric. I like the way you used all scraps - I might try it again! I have an antique log cabin with no border and I often make mine with no borders too. Alot of the older patterns didn't use borders because it would have been too expensive to actually purchase fabric for borders! Go scraps! Cheers! Evelyn
Looks fine to me without a border. Gotta love the plaids!

ReplyDeleteI like log cabins without borders. I only put them on if I have to make the quilt larger.
