scot's plaid

I love this quilt--I made it about 8 years ago from my 1 1/2 inch and 2 1/2 inch strips drawers. Who knew I had this many reds?

  6. What a totally fabulous graphic punch this quilt makes. I LOVE it! What a great way to use the strips. Did you invent the pattern - if not, where can we find it?

  7. From Lynn:
This block was on Rosie's Calico Cupboard site in 1999--I just checked and it is still up:

    I added sashing.
I used a constant fabric in the corner stones and for the large square. The small rectangles were reds, with a few pinks. The large rectangles are any dark fabrics. The squares were usually beige, but sometimes gold or pink.

  8. This looks so scrappy and fun....and EASY You make me want to tackle some more strippy quilts to clear out those bins! I probably should...it would be good annihilation for shorter lengths....

  16. Lynn, that's very pretty. At first I thought it was an antique because the pattern reminds me of something old. You did a great job.
