I wrote a mystery quilt for my guild's newsletter many years ago, and it has floated upon the web ever since. Every few months I get a photograph from a person or group who has used the pattern.
This is my favorite photo--I used it for my computer wallpaper for a long time. It is a group in Norway.
Here is one place where the mystery is posted. (It was written before uploading of pictures was possible, so it took some work to visualize the steps.)

Below is one I made (expanded) from the pattern.
I love the colors you used! I've added the site to my list of favorites, so one day I can find it again; very pretty quilt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt - love the colours!
ReplyDeleteThat's really pretty, Lynn. That is a great picture of the ladies in Norway.
ReplyDeletethat is a fantastic photo from norway!!! Lovely pattern!
ReplyDeleteI made this quilt from your pattern as a guild mystery years and years ago! *LOL* I'll see if I can find a pic of it and post it on my blog. I did it in 30's fabrics, scrappier, and put it on point to make it a bit bigger. I gave it to my neice when she was born :c)

Thanks for stopping over at Pieces, Lynn, and for the suggestions on fabric. I can say I definitely like your mystery alot better than the one I did of Judy D. Hopkins that weekend.
ReplyDeleteLynn, that is a great picture! What a great tribute that people are still making the quilt and sending you pictures.
