Women from my church have a knitting group that has a shawl ministry. This spring we made shawls for women struggling with life issues and at risk of incarceration.
I am a very basic knitter, but it was good to add mine to the pile of beautiful shawls.

ReplyDeleteThe shawls are beautiful! I never learned to knit, but I did learn to crochet from a great aunt as a little girl. It's been years though!

Lynn,
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of your group's shawl ministry. The wide array of colors looks just luscious! What a beautiful personal yet practical gift of hope.
I do not knit, but love to crochet when the notion hits.... Just a rooky though.
Do you create rectangular or triangular shawls? I'd love for you to share if you could!
Your Buzz Saw in the posting below is very cool, too. Do I see some striped Batiks or are they hand dyeds? Lucky hubby!

Wish I could do this, but alas, I can't. Knit a couple of stitches for me, eh? What a lovely thought and action.
