stripes

Several sites have had variations on Kaffe's design. For what I am working on, I used thrifted shirts. The trimmed down size of the squares is 9 1/2, 6 1/2, and 3 1/2 inches, so they finish 9, 6, and 3. I make them oversized because they distort, especially the 9 inch ones. I'm at the point of setting them together, then deciding if it needs to be bigger.
Seth asked if I had a plan for this quilt as he kind of likes it.

well I think the quilt should go to Seth then!
make it large enough for him!
it looks wonderful
I am tempted to start buying stripes so I can do this
Love the idea of mixing up the sizes of the blocks
adds a lot to the quilt, then again I love graphic quilts and this one sure is graphic!
please share with us the finished picture of the quilt too!

I love the way you mixed up some of the fabrics in the squares. This is really lovely! Remind me to tell you I "kind of like" your next quilt:)

Looks great...has an almost nautical feel about it.

That's a great use of old shirts. I wish our op shops had such a lovely selection of shirts but in NZ the men don't tend to wear that type of shirt often.

I love it. Recycling all the way. I made 2 quilts using old denim pants, myself
